whydangle 0 Posted May 5, 2009 Wow, this one is dramatic. The backlighting on the Lupines really makes them Pop. The only thing objectionable to me is how the tree and the distant hill have merged into one blocked up shadow, probably from the grad shadow. If there was some way to get some separation, it would be a marked improvement. Yes, this is the trickiest kind and it takes a visionary to attempt it. I suggest using grads with bracketing so you can farm pixels from a brighter exposure, one that might provide better separation. I generally just blend multiple exposures without grads, but a combination may do the trick. Still, this is a stunning shot and a high quality comp! Link to comment
