Petros,

I think the photo has surely its merits, but it is a bit too small to be properly appreciated. You mention the kid's face... but it is exactly 14 pixels across, and I have troubles making anything out of it.

Even like this, on the other hand, I appreciate the composition and the sense of decay and gloom that the cloudy sky enhances. When I was a kid, I was very fond if science fiction illustrators, and this strongly reminds me some of their drawing representing ancient spaceships wreckages left to decay on alien worlds with strange vegetations... it is easy to see, in perspective, that they probably took their imageries from scenes like this one.

Cheers!

Lukas,

The story is like this. I was exited by the image off that superannuated aircraft and as I was shooting it children appeared suddenly on the aircraft exploring it. In that cold image of the abandoned airplane the presence of the children has a semiotic force.

The composition is an important detail of a painting or a photograph and demands antithesis between the vast and the small. That was the reason I preferred this photo than the others_ the small and almost invisible face of the children (exactly 14 pixels across) in the vast decay of the surround atmosphere gave to me a breath of life.

Thanks a lot for your time spend.

Petros
