dabar 0 Posted May 2, 2009 This was done as an experiment with complex optical interactions. There are six optically significant objects in the scene. One of themis a bowl that comprises the background. Can you separate the five objects, in the foreground, from the opticalartifacts? The rough, serrated edges that appear are a mystery to me at thispoint, although I suspect that they are the result of a modeldefinition error or a ray-tracing artifact. In any case, there is a lot to see here. Have fun with it.As always, I would love to hear what you think of this image. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted May 3, 2009 Love it! I just can't fathom how you do it.....to get those brilliant colors all the time....do you keep a jounal as you create these images......?????fantastic...!...Gail Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted May 3, 2009 What bright colors... oops... THOSE bright colors. ;- Just a little tweaking with Levels, Saturation, Contrast and Fill-Flash.As for keeping a journal... that would take FAR more time that creating the image. If fact, most of the time I just tinker about until something close to what looks good, in line with my mental image, appears and then mess about with the sliders until I get it 'right' or start over. This one took several hours, not counting rendering time at each step, to complete. There are many more variables to contend with in 3D modeling and ray-tracing, but the results can be spectacular. Focus, patience and persistence... AND FUN! Link to comment
