Well, they say that at a very late age Michelangelo Buonarroti wrote in margin to a sketch "ancora imparo", which translates to something like "I am still learning" or "yet I am learning". I have a grandmother like that: she is 96 now, and still spends most of her time having somebody reading her (her sight is quite weak now) about history, literature, and science, especially astronomy. In fact, I owe my profession largely to her passion. I have learned from her that an open mind, curiosity and desire to know are among the greatest gifts a human being can bring along to his or her late years.

This is a photo loaded in meanings, and very well made as well.

Wonderful photo! Fabulous "pose" and composition. The B&W works very well here. I had to smile because if I was the subject instead of this man the title wouldn't read "Man Learning", but rather "Man Sleeping"!!
