myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 30, 2009 There is a sharp demarcation in tonality high on her left cheek and under the eye Under the right eye also, also left temple so it looks it was not shot RAW. The sharp change is not natural. Also in front her left there is white spots. I think all of this would be hard to fix in photoshop Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2009 Dominik, This is an interesting use of grotesque lighting (lighting coming from under the nose). I haven't seen this used much. It is usually seen in old horror movies or photographs of vampires. I think this is a strange way to light a young lady, unless there is something about her we haven't been told (and perhaps do not want to know). Sharp focus - Good background and separation of subject from background with backlight - Good catch lights (with a rather unusual shape?). Her blouse to too light (you have lost detail in it) - Because of your lighting her complexion does not look good (you will want to soften it and the wrinkles near her eyes) - There is no good reason to use a horizontal format (vertical would be preferred) - Good composition, but I would not crop into her head - Her lips look quite dry. I hope when she smiles that fangs do not show! Mark Link to comment
