Stock-Photos 1 Posted April 29, 2009 Here's is my recipe for this photo: Canon 5D, Canon 24-105L, Canon 580EX flash, Aperture priority mode,(for background exposure) 1/13s, F5.6, exp.comp: minus 1 and 2/3, unobstructed horizon (Gulf of Mexico), low perspective, energetic subject. The apparent shadow on the sky resulted from the rapidly moving subject obscuring part of the sky during the 1/13 second exposure. Of course, the brief duration of the flash froze the motion of the subject. Comments, critiques and questions are encouraged. Link to comment

Stock-Photos 1 Posted April 30, 2009 I forgot to mention focus was manual at the predetermined jumping point (a bump in the sand). Flash sync was second curtain. Link to comment
