mjulien 0 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi! Thanks for contributing this nice photograph. The exposure is very nice and the colors are nicely saturated. The edges are burned beautifully so that we don't "notice" them right away, but leads the eye to the center. The cloudy day rendered some nice low shadows and consistency to the image. Named the "Railway" but this is really about the Tulip? Or am I just a little distracted by the overwhelming presence of the flower. I MIGHT have stepped towards the train a bit and made the tulips over to the side a bit and centered the walkway or named it the Tulips at the Train Station. Overall, nice image and good eye. Keep shooting! Link to comment
clivefox 1 Posted September 16, 2009 Hi Martyn, I like the tones created here and overall saturation which reveals the many textures. Although I don't mind the placement of the tulips I think they are about to shoot out of their gamut and could probably be toned down a touch. they do provide a lead into the urn and then onwards into the shot.
