We are so fragile. Our only strength is our humanity. Best regards, MM

the dangling upper end of the bereft pipe, the pipe then leading down to the flattened car and the rubble on the street...juxtaposed with the two oddly-sized windows and the unharmed lamp...the room intact further in on top...the solidity of the monumental stone wall...disaster and survival. Very well seen and exposed.

Andrea, it is really sad to see such documentary although it is a perfect job , we had many times the same disaster in our country and I can deeply understand what have you seen in those two days. Take care

sometimes photos makes things more real. after have been there, is not easy for me to look at this photos. Staying there, the depth of the tragedy is around you with a terrible violence. I want to say everybody thanks for the sensibility, and i hope that for people living there the normality will come as soon as possible.

Andrea, as this image came up on my screen, and I started to scroll down, I took a gasp when I saw the care at the bottom. Very provocative capture. Wonderful work.

I think this photo gives a better idea about the eartquake than the other photo which could be just a planned demolition of a building. The crashed car here is the key for better understanding. That black pipe is like a giant arrow telling "these stones fell from here". Otherwise a well composed photo with details nicely spread here and there. I also notice there in Italy blue paint on pavement is used, something I saw in Estland too, but not here in Finland...

Upon viewing this image I do see the strong artistic aspect of it and of course the documentary side/the informative side....the image gives a sense and scale of this very tragic and sad event....I hope all is ok now, although picking up the pieces is never easy.....Regards. Dara
