Congrats B.C.It's a joy watching your photo. What nice moments you capture in street! You have a pair of gifted photogaphic eyes and I salute to them.I hope you will be gifting us such nice photos many more and for many more years to come.

As a beginner/learner,I want to ask a basic question to you,my friend.I hope you will surely answer that.

1.Which mode do you usually choose while taking street photography? I feel, to capture a moment,it is difficult to choose manual mode.It is because you have to spend some time to adjust both shutter speed as well as F value to have correct exposure and by this time you may miss the subject. I was unhappy many a occasions.

Regard,

Susmit

My dear friends , thank you all for your visit and kind words that makes me want to go out and take more photos... Your motivation means a lot....

Dear Susmit ,

First of all thank you very much for your kind, encouraging comment.

I usually use the M mode as it gives me more control over everything but like you very rightly indicated when shooting street shots like this that can be difficult at times so I switch to Aperture Priority, like I did in this shot. The values for this shot was f/6.3 @ 1/100 shutter speed.

But having said this there are many times I still tend to lean towards M mode even at the risk of loosing the moment....

hope I could be helpful my dear friend....

Dear Andrea ,

whowho laughed a lot..... nice one my dear friend... from whowho.....

It's the sign of a good photographer to be "in the right place at the right time" which you undoubtably are on this occasion....a tender scene....Regards

Think Keith brought it to the point. Personally I would prefer some more shallow dof, but that is a question of taste I guess. Compliments, El

Another good one.

That is good to know that you have this great attitude towards shooting, that is, using manual and assuming the risk of loosing some good captures. I do myself use this method for a long time, and feel exactly the same way.

All the best,

But, as you can see, the boy is really fed up with all this affection. He's thinking, gosh, mummy, why can't you stop with all this kissing, moreover in public.

Apparently this is the natural evolution of mother-son relationship, so I am told, that happens around 12 years of age. I still have a few good years ahead, my kids are just 4 and 5 and they still want to be cuddled several times during the day, but this photo works as a powerful reminder to enjoy it while it last.
