This is a super shot with interesting effects, but as good as it is I would love to see this shot as it was, as you have such a fantastic viewpoint here with so much detail...congrats!

Hi Gail! I like the effect here very much. It looks like an old illustration done in watercolour and ink, achieved with modern technology. Very interesting to look at, good composition. I really like the dark muted colours. Well done.

Actually Linda, (and thankyou for your lovley comments).....I arrived at this final image quite 'accidentally'....I have never had much luck with Photoshops, Pen and ink Filters....but it was a combo of them....a neon glow (which I'm not that fond of either....but changed the color of the glow) made a few layers....used a bit of 'spatter'..and there it was. The original I want to do...but I just didn't feel like 'struggling with it last evening.....so, I though I'd take my frustration out in a different way....and this photo complied without complaint. I will probably do another version as I arrived at a few I quite liked. Thanks again for your comments...Gail

Gail-

I love the subdued, "antique" color composition. Nice post processing, and something different from so much of your usual work which tends to very colorful or very delicate. Variety is the spice of life and the lifeblood of the creative artist. Without trying new techniques, we would all wither on the vine. Your creative wings keep spreading. Really nice piece of work here!

Sandra..thankyou for your compliment....this, as I have said 'above' kind of happened accidentally.....I've tried using the Ink Outline filters....Neon ets..and not have had results that seem worth posting...but this one I really took my time and investigated a few 'gateways' Adobe has within this program...and cannot believe I hadn't noticed before. I love this look also......however...not in the best mood at the time....inside me...I still felt the need to CREATE ........ SOMETHING !!!!!!///fortunatley it worked out.....or I would have really been disappointed.........I have other avenues I want to 'unearth' just to see what I can come up with...thankyou for your kind words..of inspiration and encouragement.....we all need to find what 'fuel' to 'run on'......I'm still searching....regards, Gail

Always good to hear from you "girl--friend!".....seems we are both treading waters not yet 'discovered'.....it can be an exciting time....I've come to the conclusion, with the help of a few wise friends..to follow my heart.......nothing says my work will always stay the same..but you can count on it not being.....'the usual'.....I have a need inside of me to discover something NEW and On MY OWN>.....wouldn't that just be 'peachy' ? discover a method or effect not created before.....Oh well....you gotta dream...thanks for your usual kind comments and encouragement! Glad you liked this image!!!
