lesliejbng 0 Posted April 24, 2009 I have to be honest and say, as if you couldn't tell this is a bird in captivity and probably the closest I will ever get to getting any kind of decent shot! Birds leave the scene immediately when I am in the vicinity!....lol Thanks for looking! Take care, Leslie Link to comment

lesliejbng 0 Posted April 24, 2009 Thank you very much for your kind words I do admire your work and value your comments! Interesting story with regards to BIRDS! (which I am really no good at, never getting the camera out in time or scaring them off with a sneeze or some other quick movement) On my way to work this morning I met a lovely Canadian Goose. He was resting in a little pond I pass every morning. I decided to stop and was very careful not to park too close as to frighten him away. Changed my lens in the car.......turned the camera on in the car....didn't even close my door and began to walk towards him and the edge of the pond. Well I must say he was the friendliest Canadian! My sisters may beg to differ as they are Canadian :)(Although for a moment I was worried about him coming to close...that could have set the scene for some angry goose pics...lol)He posed for me with the sun shining down on him and the reflections were wonderful also. I took quite a few shots as he was so cooperative! I am very anxious to upload the pictures and get to work on them. I guess my days of shooting only captive birds have come to an end.....for today! Keep your eyes open for this lovely Canadian bird friend of mine.....lol...He should be headed your way soon! Have a great weekend! Leslie :) Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted April 24, 2009 My bird shots are taken in the Bird Park, so I would say they are also in captivity though not all are in cages. I like this for the blue bg & the low light which actually enhances the bird's beauty. Link to comment
glenns1 0 Posted April 24, 2009 This is a great shot even if it is in captivity, Good detail and lighting and very creative with the colours in the b/g. Regards Glenn Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted April 25, 2009 Hi Leslie, A fine capture indeed and most shots of birds are taken in bird sancuaries or in zoos, I personally smile with people that think there is something mucho in capturing animals or birds in the ''wild''. There is so little of that left.Warm regards, Dimitris. Link to comment
