Great Egret - St. Augustine Alligator Farm

We went there several years ago. Don't remember egrets. Don't have too go back there though. These fellow hang out in our backyard. Had a pair of gators back there also about 3 years ago. Took 2 weeks b 4 animal control came & took 'em. Oh, by the way, nice pic :)

Didn't know how to categorize this as there is no field

for "wildlife." Would like to request a critique on this one.

Although I've seen shots like this in the past, I have had terrible "luck" making one of my own. What I like about this one is the implied frame with the dark foreground, black background, and darker body on the right. The near center head/neck really serve to draw my eye to the translucent wing!

Wow... This is awesome! I love it!

You have a real gift for photographing animals. The light behind the wing is beautiful and suggests flight even though the bird is standing. Curves are elegant. I would like to see just a bit more light on the right side of the pic to bring out the texture of what appear to be fluffy feathers of the bird's left wing. Wonderful shot.
