Hi! I like this for its softness and the red lips, but her(?) near eye looks somehow enlarged.

This is a really well-composed portrait. I like the way the shoulder leads up into the oval of the child's face and is counterpointed by the downcast glance. I should be dumping all over you about your front focusing and veiled highlights, but hey, you've made it all work. My compliments.

You gave me A SEVEN!! That must be why they have that rule. So I'll know when you give me a seven. Anyway, thanks. This image deserves a 7/6 from me.

I never noticed how much HE looks like you before. Great image. Can you sell creative images like this to your clients?

all best, j

Thank you Lawrence. Thank you Kraft. This actually started as a wireless flash exercise and ended up natural light. Kraft...yes seven...seven......SEVEN! Say it loud say it proud. I just don't see a good unmanipulated rainbow capture every day. And yes, I have a whole folder on my website for creative portraiture. It is my goal to do it exclusively. Must....Keep.....Learning. Oh and btw, ziggy is my son.

I changed it. It's not that the image looks feminine, I think it was about the unconventionality. and that I probably just can't tell....

Thank you Kraft and Jill. No worries Kraft. I think every picture of Ziggy, someone thinks he is a she. In every pic of Avalon, someone thinks she is a he. It's just a thing right now.
