Guest Guest Posted October 6, 2009 Dominik, Very well done. Just a couple of things I would change. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph. Your lighting is very flat -- almost no shadows at all. I would have lit him from below. The name for this style of lighting is grotesque lighting. It has been (and still is) used in video and still photography to light vampires, werewolves, bad witches and other rather nefarious nocturnal nasties. It would have worked very well for your vampyre. By adjusting the amount of fill your can, or course, adjust the effect. Nice shot, Mark Link to comment
