Guest Guest Posted April 25, 2009 Interesting. You decided this was about the lines of the branches, and you've subordinated everything else. All the weaving contours come to a focus at about the middle of the trunk in the right foreground. There the energy dissipates into the rather undifferentiated foreground foliage. A strong visual element there would have been a useful counterpoint. Link to comment
vickifrance 0 Posted April 29, 2009 Being a tree lover, I find this wonderful. I can feel the place in my soul (does that even make sense?) Love the way you handled this, is this HDR? At any rate I love the effect. Vicki Link to comment
new_zealand_landscapes 0 Posted April 29, 2009 Hi Vicki Thanks for the question, The trees are not HDR but an extreme process of the raw file, I dont like to change images too much, though I don't see why not, photographers have ben doing for the last 180 years. All I have been doing is set the fill light, brightness and contrast to full or as high as they can go. Fill light if applied too much causes the dark areas to go too light. I then turn down the exposure and adjust the curves. Try it out. Cheers John Link to comment
