whydangle 0 Posted April 21, 2009 The distant Piute Mountains are the highest mountains of the Southern Sierra Nevada. This view is from the summit of the Centennial Ridge looking east towards the Piutes. Piute Peak tops out at 8,400 feet. The Caliente-Bodfish scenic and historic road crosses the Centennial Summit along the way to Lake Isabella. Several Historic towns and many historical landmarks can be found along the way. This is my new escape from the Heat of the Central Valley and Bakersfield! Thanks for taking a look! Link to comment

Fishermang 0 Posted April 22, 2009 Lovely sharpness and all the detail. The sun is extreme, but it doesn't disturb the landscape. Good colors, although I personally would prefer slightly less yellow and blue overall - a warming filter from photoshop would do the trick for me. Top score for this anyway. Link to comment
Fishermang 0 Posted April 22, 2009 I "stole" your image and added the filter I suggested: Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Thank you Ivan, Hussein, Amber, Steve and Ramunas. I like your version Ramunas. Perhaps your filter with a mask for the sky to keep the blue. I will say that the original version seems closer to what I remember, but yours might look closer to color correct. Link to comment

redla 0 Posted March 12, 2011 This is really a great shot. I drove from Sacremento to Eureka and remember wishing I had the time to stop and take some pictures. This is what I hoped to capture that day. Link to comment
