mark_q 0 Posted April 18, 2009 Laurent, for a moment one could think you too became a member of the fashionable B&W crowd... By the idea nice catch, but as a wishfull dreamer I'd loved the left hand shadow could have been more edgy/straight by then expressing kinda duality between man-made and nature by those enveloping shadows. Minor critic though. Did you have any consideration to straighten the perspective, any thoughts (in general)? Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted April 18, 2009 Yes, The Fly was my first title. Thanks a lot as always for your sincere opinion. I appreciate that very much. Actually, this is a colour version, but the green of the leaves is almost as dark as the shadows. I have tried to work on the shadows to get a more dramatic effect and value your opinion of pushing it further. I will try what you suggest and see what I can get. About straightening, it is without a doubt a very useful tool. I was wondering about it too here, but finally decided to leave it unperfect, as the lens and angle made it. There's something I like about the fact that it is not perfect, and the kind of perception it conveys. It would be great to have the opinion of others here too. Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted April 18, 2009 I just expressed myself unclear; I did notice this being a color photo, my sentence lost it's end and I didn't notice this. Link to comment
