whydangle 0 Posted April 16, 2009 The scenes along highway 46 near the coastal town of Cambria provide some of the most exceptional countryside I have seen since moving to California 2 years ago. California is so diverse, with an equally diverse flora. My favorite landscapes are the rolling pastures dotted with large live oaks and sycamores. It reminds me of the landscapes from the United Kingdom. Someday I hope to travel there and shoot those landscapes, but for now, I will seek out the scenes that give me the illusion of being there. In this image, a large Sycamore stands among ridges laced with brilliant mustard flowers. Although the mustard is not indigenous and is hated by many, it is very photogenic when backlit, appearing to glow. Thanks for your time and I hope you will enjoy the Larger preview! Link to comment

rekaras 0 Posted April 20, 2009 Three beautiful images today Mark. I like this one the most especially the way the light plays among the detail of the tree in the foreground. Best regards, rek. Link to comment
