OutsideTheNorm 30 Posted April 15, 2009 Still an early go for me at doing hair and makeup in addition to the photography. Link to comment
bevip 0 Posted April 15, 2009 The Make-up and model and I like the softness of light. Personally I would still close a little cutting of the face to remove the two triangles above the background. Even the shadows on the right side of the face seem a bit strong. Ciao Link to comment
jeff_shaw4 0 Posted April 15, 2009 the lighting gives the face an odd look. the left side of the face is very broad and makes that side fairly unatractive. the other side of the face is fine, if you're going for a look like that. my suggestion would be to add at least one more light to fill up the shadow. bring your mainlight to a steeper angle to make the face seem slimmer. a popular lighting style is called the "crocodile" lighting and is named that simply beacuse the two lights make a shape of a crocodile opening his mouth. it is on light coming from the top and another coming directly from the bottom. it gives the face a slimmer look because of it's narrow lighting. sorry about some unclear terms/ways to explain things because i was taught all of this in a different language. maybe you did this half-half face thing on purpose, im not sure. sorry if i was a bit too "harsh". shiva_charles1 0 Posted April 16, 2009 This is a really good picture. The shadows are too dark for my taste but everything else is just great to me. Link to comment
