Good use of lighting to emphasize feather texture; maybe adjust angle of an off camera flash to improve future shots; bring the light a little more perpendicular to the camera axis to rake the light across the feathers some more. Good catchlights in the eyes; not excessive. Glad to see a photo of a pet bird for a change. J.
