''Great Balls of Blue''

This was FUN to make! There are three `balls' and a background object.What looks like a fourth `ball', in the back, is actually a reflectionof the `ball' in the rear. This image is ray-traced. All the elementsare 3D models.

All of the elements are textured with the same pattern. Each has adifferent secondary texture. There are three lights, each a differentcolor.

This sort of image is most certainly Not a photograph. However it is agreat way to try different compositional approaches, try variedlighting schemes and in general hone ones skills.

I can only hope that images like this encourage others to experimentand explore their craft and the tools at their disposal.
