To be really great, to be human, we have to be able to glimpse the beauty in each corner of the life. Here it is the beauty dying, without pomp, without vanity, dying simply with dignity. Of this death the History it will not say anything. How beautiful!...

I think that you could try another "visual" approach without reducing the emphasis on the subject but telling a bit more of he story of the entire context. Anyway I like this, I like the lines, the textures, the colors, the detail... Above all I adore the love story before, in and after the life of this leaf!... How romantic is this image!... Best regards.

Jacek, This is one of these images I like myself. I do not like all the images I put on p.nut. I like to post different images to gauge their appeal. It is always encouraging when someone takes the time to comment on something I like.

José, As said to Jacek, I like this image myself. That said, I did not think it worthy of all the words you have given it. Perhaps I should re-examine the shot myslef to find out if I myself can justify the words you have narrated here. I would like to thank you but I fear thanks are not enough.

Dear David McCracken, in the country where I live there is a football club named "S. L. Benfica" (there are others of course; I chose only the "S. L. Benfica" because seems that it is the bigger one - it is not important why or how it is the biggest). So I invite you to take a simple piece of paper, it is not important the size, or the shape, or the quality, and paint it, all, in red. Now you have in your hands an ordinary piece of red paper. Show that red paper to a "S. L. Benfica" fan and ask him about the feelings and the ideas he has when he sees the red paper. After listening to the immense profusion of ideas and feelings - remember that it is only a solid red paper - look again to your "Not New" and read my comment... and I think that you will understand!...

Best regards.

"Naked" from all the beauty of the past ,but has the beauty of the present. Well diagonally composed, good details and light of accentuated/ blured reality.

This picture makes me think about the people who are growing old and have a hard time accepting it.... There clearly is a beauty in aging..... I'd call this image, aging gracefully!

You have made an interesting point. Few things look better with age... except me naturally but aging does give things and people more character. Thanks again!
