whydangle 0 Posted April 11, 2009 I have always wanted to make one of these miniature landscapes. First you get a big block of styrofoam and carve out the hills, paint them light green, then use some peat moss for the bushes and finally insert the stick trees into the foam. I did not make the one pictured. It is life-size and is also life-like, made with real materials. Even the clouds are made of real water particles. Please enjoy the Larger preview to see the realism. bettiecl 0 Posted April 13, 2009 Mark, You prove beyond doubt that its in simplicity that real magic lies. Brilliant composition with the triangle in the clouds matching the same shape in the folds of the mountain. Toast Link to comment
anne_s3 0 Posted September 17, 2010 Great photo and I love the title and reference- it does look almost unreal in its perfect simplicity. Although I don't remember any diaramas actually looking this good, these would be the kinds of elements included in them. Wonderful crisp details and lines as well as colors and light.
