samrat 1 Posted April 11, 2009 I prepared this photo quite a while ago but did not upload it before. I had problems optimising it. It was difficult to balance owing to the high contrast from the setting sun and the shadows cast. I will appreciate pointers towards taking such photos. Thanks for any constructive criticism. rajnishduara 0 Posted April 11, 2009 This is a very difficult shot to execute. Evening shots with fading light is very difficult to set the tones right. I tried to manipulate and only succeeded to deteriorate it. The most important point in such shoots is to get a very nice form of the subject. Here the female form is not at all highlighted. The hair, the arms, the waist, the legs got to show the classical form against the half lighted background. Another thing which is limiting it is the lower part of the lady is not at all contrasted with the sands, adding to the lack of interest in the subject. Link to comment
life-in-perspective 0 Posted April 11, 2009 The sea in the fading light of sunset looks great. The right side is a bit too dark to differentiate her figure from the sand. It really is a difficult shot to set the tones right. The mood of the image is very nicely expressed. Regards. Link to comment
