This is my first HDR. I would like you comments on the picture and on

how to improve it.

Nice for a first go....Doesn't look over cooked (although I like that look sometimes)...

I would have adjusted the curves up just a bit...and maybe used a layer mask to shed a bit more light around the rocks and or trees....

 

I also like the center comp as the water meeting the beach leads my eyes up to the rock and trees.

I think this is a great shot love the colours... I looked at the rating details as i do with most rated images and i think that some anonymous raters dont have a bloody clue about photography and they should be made to share their work before they can rate. All the best Sean

Very good photo. I think the sand and the rocks are a little dark. Try to lighten them in Photoshop.
