After a long time! Welcome back.

I like this better between the two --- though, I hasten to add that I liked the other one too. In this the feeling of absence is rather conspicuous, while the other needed your explanation. The vacant sky adds to the composition here. could not rate it as 7/6 as i would have liked to do. compliments -koushik

my friend! It's a great pleasure, and confortable too, when one comes back in a place after a long time and he discovers that some friends are there and the relationship can continue. Thanx so much for your comment, motivation and rating.

This certainly has impact. Even if I had not known the story behind this monument the message would have been clear enough. No prefacing of words is needed here. I would add to Koushik Ray's fine words. More than the empty sky it is the stark silhouette of the plain and simple crosses against the empty cloudless sky and perhaps that of the lone individual standing there looking down on the fallen that add to the poignancy of the scene. Its a simply powerful and a simply dramatic frame with the upward movement of the tiers and the downward-glancing figure. Without any hesitation my rating goes up two notches. 7/7.

I like this one better but I think it odd that it has received less attention. A very nice shot.
