universal symbol of oppression. disturbing and sad, as i hope it's intended. could be an amnesty international ad. i've never had non-human primate as a personal friend, so to me the hand seems slightly foreign, and with the highlights upon the hairs, it eerily spider-like. i've always thought that--like humans-- the most expressive aspect is the face if one wants to convey the despair of captivity. i also like the black and white version of this one. cheers.
