"Toto" is a nickname used to call a man, usually of your age or younger, in this part of the Philippines. We use it for the waiter, man in the street, workers etc... it's respectful.

This gentleman was building a bamboo shelter to give shade on a white sand beach to tourists like me .... Thanks again and regards, Jean-Marc
