heider 0 Posted April 7, 2009 this is an inserting photo, any story behind it? I would have edited it, B&W most probably. very well done. regards. Link to comment
copcu 0 Posted April 7, 2009 Thank you Hayder for visit and comments. Actually really no story behind it , these boat work between the Asian and European side of Istanbul maybe every 5 minutes. This was taken as the boat was approaching the European side and people were lining up to get off. Due to Obama's visit to Istanbul yesterday and today most of the roads were closed so taking one's car was going to be a misery , which gave me a chance to take my camera and use one of these boats. Turned out to be fun :) I tried b&w but decided the orange added a lot to the composition but thank you for your suggestion. Link to comment

heider 0 Posted April 8, 2009 I will be in Istanbul next Friday for tourism, hopefully my visit will not cause any traffic jams :). I will stay for 10 day only and hope I will capture some of the beauty of this great city and its great people. I will focus on the old part of Istanbul. if you have any suggestions, I will be glad to here from you. my best regards to you. Link to comment
copcu 0 Posted April 8, 2009 Thank you my friends for your kind remarks ... Dear Hayder , I am glad to hear about the traffic :) I hope you have a wonderful time during your visit and hope the weather will be good too. The old part is an amazing area , The Blue Mosque , Topkapi , Grand Bazaar ,Hagia Sophia Museum ,the Basilica Cistern are some of the places of interest. Of course walking around those areas I am sure will produce great shots. Definitely try to do the Bosphorus with a boat. Also for eating great fish with exceptional view of the the 1. Bridge there is a restaurant called Villa Bosphorus in Cengelkoy , but I only go there if the weather is good and I can sit outside right on the water , the inside is not very appealing for me. But a personal choice. If the weather is bad than there is another one called Marina in Kurucesme , with great fish and view. Also for fun market place on the Bosphorus there is an area called Ortakoy which might be fun. These are some of the places that comes to my mind but if any more comes to mind I will let you know. Have a great time in Istanbul .... Link to comment

bettiecl 0 Posted April 11, 2009 What an eye for the right composition you have B.C.! As in your street shot of the couple in Istanbul, you manage to see and compose instantly and intuitively. Toast Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 12, 2009 Perfect title. B.C ! Are you giving titles some percentage of your creations ?! ;) Congrats ! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted April 14, 2009 Very colorful and effective image B C....they appear to have done this journey many times before...no expressions of fear....but without the barrier in sight, it gives it a bit more 'mystery'....good timeing and exposure! Link to comment
