Textures, colors, patterns, and lights abound in this view of the

specialty chain restaurant 'Johnny Rockets' in Los Angeles, after

closing hours. Notice the worker climbing into the grill flue, as he is

about to clean it. Best viewed 'large' for detail. Your ratings and

critiques are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly or very

critically, please submit a helpful and constructive comment; please

share your superior photographic knowledge to help improve my

photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

Johnny Rockets has made a big deal of the American Diner revival -- playing the theme to the hilt, and even venerable Denney's has made some inroads with that.

I'm not such a big fan of their food, much less their prices, but it's a good place for a Coke and some lively and boisterous late-night crowds. Notice the time on the clock on the wall.

You didn't mention the great 'detail' in this photo. This is a photo about 'detail' if anything as well as light, play of light, patterns, and other things.

As such, it should best be viewed 'large' in my view -- it's really a lot of photo.

This photo was taken from outside through a plate glass window -- they keep things pretty clean at this Johnny Rockets, and there is not much image degradation from taking this one through a window and almost none at all from reflections, etc., because late night lights outside were mostly off due to the late hour.

My best to you; don't let my comments affect your appetite for their food.

Thanks for sharing.

Oh, and the staff was VERY nice about this (but now they pull the shades when they do night cleaning -- sorry folks, but this is the last chance for photographers here, I think. Didn't mean to spoil it for you guys.

It should say something about your work that I often click on it without noting the name. Consistently good stuff.
