shiva_charles1 0 Posted April 6, 2009 Here's a picture portrait of my cousin that I did. Tell me what do you think of it please. Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted April 6, 2009 I like Amanda's face and the smile. I think the background does nothing to help the face frankly. Almost any other color than what you have here...preferably neutral to highlight her tawny skin. My opinion for what it is worth, Shiva. I wonder if she would go for a little more eye color enhancement makeup, probably not....I wish you good cheer. gs Link to comment
verdeacqua 0 Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Shiva!how's going? did you receive my email?she's very beautifull, I like the pose but I agree with Gerry about the background, further I think you cut too hardly her hair and the figure seems flat.Hope I can be helpfull. Ciao, Carmen Link to comment
shiva_charles1 0 Posted April 8, 2009 Hi Carmen. Thanks for the comments - its always appreciated. I did get your message and also replied to it where in the body had many thanks for your advice. Sorry you didn't get it though - the school computers probably didn't let me send things to this site. I attached a before shot of this picture for you to see what adjustments I did for the final picture to look like this. I still have lots or learning to do and in due time I'll gather up some good techniques. Exam are 2 weeks away... in mid may I'll have more free time to practice. Take care. Link to comment
tore 10 Posted April 9, 2009 the postprocess is good and your cousin is beautiful and works well as a model, but if you take images in a good environment from the beginning so you can do still better images with the final result an sugesstion try to make a scheduled session outdoors, but keep her in the shade so you do not get any hard shadows, it will probably be very good. david_cassidy2 0 Posted April 17, 2009 A terrific portrait. While some have suggested the background colour may not have been the best choice, that's debatable. Another colour would draw the face forward away from the background, true, but this colour also complements the model. It's a purely subjective choice, and neither is incorrect. Both can be pleasing, and in this case, it is a pleasing colour. -David :) Link to comment
kaushikphotography 0 Posted May 11, 2009 Wonderful portrait and the light effect. Great composition. BG effect is very similer to the skin tone. Masterly done. Rgds. Link to comment
raymondborg 0 Posted May 30, 2009 Beautiful model and nice smile. I am not so sure about the colour of the background. Also I would give some more space for the head (top edge). Congrats. Link to comment
