Cloud Reflection, Muriel Lake

A surreal landscape.Anna

This shot was taken at Muriel Lake, John Muir Wilderness in the High

Sierra. It was very late evening, post sunset. I had witnessed a

spectacular sunset earlier in the evening, and this cloud hovered

over the lake for the longest time. I wasn't using any filters of

any kind, it was just bare lens. I am not a great photographer and

I'm still learning this stuff, so I am seeking advice on how to make

my photos better. I just hike and take pictures and share the beauty

of the wilderness as I go, but I know I can do a better job.

Nice composition. It actually tricks the viewer into thinking its actually a much wider angle lens. I'm a sucker for high sierra sunsets. Nice!

What an awsome photo, I think this proves that the sunset itself isn't always the best subject.
