morophaenixmau 7 Posted April 3, 2009 Excellent work, my new friend! I told you, I love a lot your image of Islam's world: I think that our European world needs knowledg and friendship with Islam. We and you can only be better! Thanks for your words on my portfolio: in this period I'm very busy not only with my work, but also with my very old parents, when possible, I'll anwer to you with a bit of calm,...calm is a too much important thing!p.s.: I'm waiting for your self-portait (...out of the shadow, ha,ha,ha!!!...) and for a biography! Your images caused my interset about you. Ciao!...Maurizio! Link to comment

dara 0 Posted April 4, 2009 Many thanks to all of you for your kind comments original observations, thoughts and evaluation….really appreciate your interest and time….Best wishes p.s. I am just a neutral observer with a camera....I try to show some aspects of my country, and the people, to clarify sometimes perhaps certain misconceptions.....that's all..... Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 5, 2009 a good moment for a photo. But I think maybe you have some problems with the "whites" going off scale..I burned some here and there to see what it looks like . The print on the page can be brought out stronger,etc.. Link to comment
dara 0 Posted April 5, 2009 Meir, many thanks for pointing out this issue to me and I appreciate your observant explanation and for taking the time. You say you actually burned some of the whites here and there, if you still have your version I would be very grateful if you could post it for me so I can see what you mean and have a reference point to work from....I understand that skin tones are correct....regards Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 6, 2009 very minor changes. I burned a little on the page she is writing on the brand name on the kleenx box. That's about all. Hardly any change. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 9, 2009 once I put it up here on photo.net the little burning that I did looks no different than yours Dara Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 9, 2009 Dara; Maybe this is not better but something I would have tested (little more or little less) because skin tones in digital give me much trouble. Link to comment
dara 0 Posted April 9, 2009 Meir, many thanks for taking the time and your attachment....I would say skin tones are now in Zone VI....yes, like you say it does not really make much of a difference, however, your result is closer to VI....I am more closer to VII. I tried using the Brushing adjustment tool and see the result, as when I tried to do general adjustments the whole picture became darker and really it was shot in a high key spirit etc. The problem is working with a already compressed file JPEG that does not allow much room for changes....perhaps a RAW file would have been better.... appreciate it and regards Dara Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 9, 2009 Dara; I basically did not understand. I don't know abuot brushing tools etc. Also seems you reversed the zone numbers or I just am confused. Whatever, it is a good photo as is Link to comment
