Well done technically, but the real value is in the reflection of the relationship between the two, it's a kind of protecting sort of love shown here, maybe the kind all women are tending to!

Tiffany,

Good skin tones - good catch lights - left/right balance quite good (it is top heavy (you have cut into her hair and this calls for a tight crop at the bottom - you have a lot of room at the bottom – should crop bottom or give her some head room) - Everything blends into the background (you should use a back light to help with separation) - Detail is lost in the dark clothes - I do like the framing of his face with her face and hands, but I don't care for showing no connection of her right hand to her body (is it hers?), you do have an implied connection with her left hand (wish you had her turn her left hand to the edge and not have it so much on the flat side - more slimming and feminine) - I would burn in her arm in the lower right corner of the picture (your eye goes to her light colored arm.

When I see a couple I prefer to have them relating to each other (or at least one relating to the other (how about the girl looking at the guy and making him dominant in the photo) - hence a couple. I think you must create an implied relationship more that just tactile.

Nice shot,

Mark

Pierre and Mark...Thank you for the comments. Mark, I really appreciate the indepth observations. That is much more helpful to me than numbers. I agree with everything you said. There were a few different versions of this one and I chose this one based on what was going on in her eyes. Hopefully, I can address the issues that you brought up in the next shoot.
