If I may ask, how do you get so much detail on the buildings or hills? Lights from the city, flash, light painting or is there a blend of sky and ground involved? The detail you carry from ground to sky is amazing. Thank you for sharing, Ryan

Hi Ryan. The detail is achieved with the long exposure. The light is the moon and stars. Thanks for your visit.

I don't understand why some people rated this with 4/4. Is this a normal photo ? This is totally unfair especially when not providing a criticism, if the idea behind such low rating is to keep this photo from being on the top rated page, then they must know that they have missed the whole point of photography! photography is not a race, its an art and the real joy is not when the photo is displayed and rated, but when you look through the view finder and capture the beauty of what you see. Very well done and best regards.

Una fotografia estupenda, Martin. Esta muy bien compuesta y bien elegido el punto donde no se nota la rotacion de la Tierra. Ese punto le da un interes especial a la foto. Enhorabuena.

Are this star trails natural or were they modified a bit in PP? The reason I ask is that that stars on the left side do not have the same arc point as the stars on the right side. It is likely distortion because of the lens, but thought I would ask.
