jkilgo 0 Posted April 2, 2009 Beautiful portrait...and it is indeed nicer view large. I really like the simplicity of this shot...no frills but still very beautiful and very good technically. Nice pose and expression, great eye contact, and the lighting nicely shapes her lovely face. Well done. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted April 2, 2009 Exquisite portrait, Alec. Beautiful expression, hair and colors. Lovely girl! Congrats! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 3, 2009 TQ guys, there are other classier model poses I did but I felt this simple head shot of my daughter Jas, looks better for highlighting her lovely features. She took an hour to get her hair done just right so I had to do her justice. She still feels she look too chubby here. Think so? Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted April 3, 2009 Hardly chubby...she is quite gorgeous, definitely a model's figure and looks, squared off shoulders, long thin neckline, great cheekbones and amazing eyes. You have many wonderful portraits in your portfolio...and Jas is one of my favorites....she is so versatile. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 3, 2009 TQ Kilgo, I didn't think so too but she insist I take it off PN. LOL! Now I have an excuse. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 3, 2009 Alec, Beautiful girl - nice expression - good catch lights in her pretty eyes - nice lighting for a young girl - good sharpness and soft-focus effect - very nice age appropriate make-up I would not have cut into her head - move her a little to her right to center the tip of her nose in the picture (vertical centering) - I would turn her body so that it is not straight on to the camera (this is a more slimming position for the body) - If she finds her pretty "round" shaped face pudgy looking in this image you could turn her face a bit and adjust the lighting ratio to add deeper shadows. You can find articles on the web that discuss using lighting to slim the appearance of the face - I really hate to see you cut into the "V" of her top (without a place to stop your eyes are led out of the picture). Nice photograph of a pretty young woman, you did a fine job, Mark Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 3, 2009 TQ Mark for sharing your advice. I wanted a close up view to highlight the details of the flowing hair and her smooth skin tones. Here is the actual image before cropping. Link to comment
