t37traveler 0 Posted April 9, 2009 Hi Larry- It's a real let down when you ask for comments and none are forth-coming, so I'll throw my two cents in FWIW. At lest you'll have some feedback! Interesting photo - certainly a lot of "shutter fodder" here! So I am sitting here analyzing why I am not responding strongly to this photo. I like the angle. There's lots of texture and interest. Good exposure and dof. I am wondering if the subject doesn't take up too much of the picture; it almost feels like it's stuffed inside the frame. Maybe a little distance might have added to the photo - the old abandoned truck parked in an out-of-the way field off a dirt road... perhpas more of the background is needed to give it better context. I am assuming that this is uncropped. Or maybe a smaller slice of the photo would make a more intriguing image... One detail I really like is the cracked side mirror. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted April 11, 2009 Sandra, I really appreciate and agree with your comments. The truck does overwhelm the frame, now that you mention it. The image is not cropped. It was late afternoon, I was tired. I had pulled off the road - in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia - and this truck was parked in a field on private land. I guess I just didn't get the right composition and angle on this one. Thanks for your insight. Link to comment
