katzpjs 50 Posted April 4, 2009 I agree that there is too much contrast, but Juan's sepia version helps to bring it all back together. A good concept that needs a bit more work, maybe at step one with how the image was captured? Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted April 4, 2009 Jeff, thank you for commenting. I spent a lot of time trying to get a brown conte crayon effect without success. So I went with this charcoalish look. Pierre, I think you are right, a bit too much contrast. I appreciate hearing your thoughts and advice. Pnina, thank you so much, that's what I was aiming for. Karolos, thanks for stopping by, it's good to hear your thoughts.I appreciate the encouragement. Sonali, thank you and you are welcome. That must of been the one of the two women in the red and orange saris? Fabrizio, thank you! Juan, I love it! Thanks for doing that. I tried to get a nice sepia effect but couldn't get it right. This is just great. I think it is an improvement. I really appreciate you taking the time and having the interest to do this. Shawn, thank you. I agree about the contrast. I think I overworked it and lost my perspective. I really like what Juan did. I took this shot from the side of the racetrack. I had my camera on auto focus and held it out as far as I could stretch it and shot away as the horses charged ahead. This was my favorite. Has spring reached you down there in Seattle?
