... if you can't look at this and see what I am referring to as over done, then I suggest that is your problem and not mine. You have submitted this for critique and I have given it.

David, please don't take my reply to you the wrong way, I am only looking for answers. I create things for my own pleasure & occationally people close to me, so they are very personal & serve no purpose beyond that. However, I enjoy looking at other peoples work & take great inspiration from it (like thousands on this site), as well as learning specific techniques - so I'm always looking to learn, experiment & get feedback on my photographs...

... So, you can understand, your statement was quite vague? Simply saying it was 'over done' could apply to a hundred different things to do with the image. As this was experimentation, I was not looking to draw on one specific technique for feedback, but rather any comments/critiques that anyone had. So as you may be looking at one specific element of the photo (with fresh eyes), it may seem obvious to you, but not to someone that has been involved with every element of the photo rather than just the 'final piece'.

So please feel free to expand if you have the time, that is why we are all here afterall, to learn.
