jerrymat 4 Posted March 31, 2009 All pictures tell a story. Here is the one I read here. This pretty young lady seems bent over the photographer with a look of concern on her face - no she is not bent over - it is the photographer who seems tipped over - perhaps drunk? Otherwise he would have held the camera straighter to the buildings and perhaps even rotated it into a vertical (portrait) mode and eliminated the distracting car from the image. I'm joking with you of course. It is, however, a time-honored principle that permanent rectilinear buildings and architecture be kept that way in pictures except in earth-quakes and other extreme conditions. Severe tipping conveys a message of alarm, and I suspect you did not want that effect here. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted March 31, 2009 Hey Jerry, thanks a lot for the feedback - I have to admit I purposely tilted the camera trying to get a more dynamic image at the risk of distorting the lines and I also had a couple of shots with the same pose with and without the car but I decided to go with this one as it looked like it balanced out the image a bit. blue-olympus 0 Posted March 31, 2009 Jerry may be correct with his assumption but you have obtained a very attractive and not so common place shot by doing the opposite to the norm....Well done mate! Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted March 31, 2009 Dale, a very effective and unusual angle. Of course the model is perfect as always, but I love the colorful slanted background. Great composition! Link to comment
