heider 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Nearly 70 years old Iranian literature high school teacher, sailor, and the ship’s translator, a father of 11 sons and daughters from Abbadan, Iran. When I asked him which is better teaching or working as a sailor, his eyes melts into tears, and he replied “Teaching, Teaching, Teaching is the best thing in the whole world”. Humble, happy, content and very emotional. A real human being. Link to comment

dougbrill 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Great portrait and very good story to accompany it. I think you have been able to capture some of his humility in this photograph. Link to comment
Art X Photography 1 Posted March 30, 2009 there are many good portraits in PN. many that are creative and technically well presented. but there are very few that capture the human spirit and one's identity through emotion. Yours belongs to such a rare and wonderful group. This whole series is a tribute to humanity. perhaps they are not necessarily forgotten, perhaps they just aren't remembered as frequently. well done Link to comment
