The Dance Goes On

Kamloops Pow Wow - thanks for looking.

This feels spontaneous and busy with the action going on. I like that we get a main subject and supporting characters. You tell much story in this one shot. The lighting rimming her face and falling on her "shawl" is very, very nice.

Thank you Fred! I love the colour and movement at the Pow Wow. The beautiful swirling, whirling colour created by the dancers as they move to the mezmerizing heart beat drums is overwhelming. I was lucky to have good light on this day.

Thanks! I have hundreds of pictures. There are some that I am editing right now that I am hoping will be used in a calendar. I'll let you know when I am done, and I'll post them in a seperate file on PN. I would be interested in hearing your opinion. I love the Pow Wow, the energy and atmosphere is a wonderful, natural high. They are spectacular.

I love how the energy runs down the adult's beaded arm and leg and then kick up into that colorful shawl. The composition is far from posed, all energy and all excitement.

Very nice picture. I especially like the burnished colors which remind me of technicolor from the '60's.
