A Study in Scarlet

Interesting concept...I think the interest stems from the angle as it is not a "straight on" shot. I see that you have chosen to post the colour version. I thought the photo would do well in b/w as well, so gave it a try. Straightening it a bit cut out most of the intersting pavement which would have helped the b/w version a bit more. Have a look at this and see what you make of it. Another thing, I have resized the photo to about 50% of the original which I think would help the viewer to focus better on the entire shot and appreciate it better as a whole. Regards.

Thanks for mentioning about the correct size. And sometimes size do matter. Seriously, I think I am yet to gauge the proper dimensions to post in PN. I thought of the B&W concept and changed it also but dropped the idea, as the brilliant red colour was adding a bit of character to the otherwise bland wall. I intentionally kept the pillar on the right of the image to give it a 3D effect, the pavement was also planned to define the height of the wall/gate. Thanks for the comments.
