I like it: lot of humanity, nice expressions, and a well made B/W. I don't know about the glass. I would leave it, it is one of these details that place the photo in an environment. Even if you don't pay attention to it, unconsciously it makes you identify the scene as happening in a bar or a restaurant. Take it away, and you don' really know where the couple is.
