Cactus & Rock

I sat with this image a while and almost have myself convinced it needs

more contrast, but I also like the subdued tones. Thoughts?

It looks great. If you increase contrast on whole frame or only rocks, that cactus loses its eyecatching character. As it is, it pops nicely up from background.

Increasing some contrast to your main subject might be good idea or not. Same with some local sharpening of main subject. But as it is, it looks great. a s l a
