Hi Gail, I want to thank you for your explanation about the people who deliberately give low rating without explaining, that is unfortunate because i want to learn from it, I am now 3 months with my hobby photography, and I I have so much learning to do, I am grateful to people who take the time and tell why they are good or bad photo's (sorry for my english)........

thankyou Chan...for your beautiful comments....and Gert....I think we all just have to get by those whorate so low. ...your 'heart' drops....we all know when we are learning that a 'half decent critique' can add so much 'joy' (at least for me) to a day. WE all have our insecurities......and some people.....while they think they are being helpful, just love to CRITIQUE a photo to DEATH!!!........we do all need challenges....but leave a little room for us to 'get up - dust ourselves off - and find the urge to even look at the photo again. I think it takes us having a 'strong resolve' not to let mindless (and I only call them this.....when they don't have the 'guts' to identify themselves.....turn us into a 'doormat' they can 'wipe their feet upon' knowing we will feel 'trodden upon'. I salute those who take the time to leave a few words of encouragement.......brave souls..compared to the 'anominous low raters'. Don't believe everything you see....there are those who can see potential ...and they will tell you so. sincerely, Gail
