Not Here 93 Posted March 25, 2009 Dick... Wow, now that is a fine representation of "cold"... Mike Link to comment
thadley 14 Posted March 25, 2009 I agree with Mike that this is a fine representation of cold. The image carries much mood and probably accurately reflects what you saw. My vision for this image which probably does not reflect what you saw, would be to bump the contrast a tad but without losing the details in the white portions. Best regards, Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted March 25, 2009 Such a vast open lake, Dicky. Great work, my friend. Regards, Lawrence. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted March 26, 2009 Thank you very much, Mike, Tony and Lawrence! This is truly an incredible view. I was standing on ice that is about 16 feet thick while looking north over the lake. Have a good day! Dick Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted March 29, 2009 Very cool! (pun intended)lol.........an interesting coloration in the ice, is it sand? Link to comment
jbm 0 Posted March 30, 2009 Really interesting textures. I might open the exposure a little or boost the midtone contrast. Cheers, Jay Link to comment
vicenteconcha 8 Posted April 4, 2009 Extraordinary sensation that emanates from this landscape of ice. I like the color. Congratulations. Have a nice weekeend. Vicente. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted April 6, 2009 Thank you, Tim, Jay and Vicente! Yes, there is quite a bit of sand in the ice from blowing winds. I brought the exposure down a bit to add a little drama to the sky and better define the open water beyond the ice. Soon I'll put up some images from Nevada with no ice! Regards, Dick Link to comment
