I was following the motion of the model on her way up. I over shot a little and created a

lot of negative space. Thank you for your time. Your comments are welcome.

My honest opinion is that you still have a decent image there if you get rid of all the unneeded black space. Call it negative space or whatever it does nothing for your humble viewer. In this case it adds nothing to the balance.. Get out the crop tool Hansen. Also the hair is lost and I think it added some balance where needed, meaning on the left so it need a little illumination in my opinion... I also wish I could see her eyes, even just a little bit. Her aquiline nose needs those eyes for balance... So I give it a "good try ribbon" , but no statuette IMO. You do better work than this, H.T. . I hope this is not overly harshly worded as I do not intend it so. Positive comments are nice. Nitpics if they are such are more helpful though and reflect the diversity of reactions to the uncovered female on photon net..some folks will never critique a nude in the negative, if you know what I mean..aloha, gs

I do thank you for your comments. I don't take anything as criticism other then comments from your opinion. Which is nice because then I can see your perspective.

1) Hair, yes, I messed up a bit. The image is dark on my monitor and I couldn't really see her hair too well while cropping.

2) Cropping, I understand that you rather see a little more conventional crop on the image. That is good to know. I was trying to push the edge a little. I actually wanted to make her even smaller on the left hand corner.

Nevertheless, let me show you what I actually took at the studio compare what the image is here.

Yes, I find the original more fulfilling whatever that conveys in words. There are times when pushing the subject to the corner or end of the frame works and clicks and I have an example somewhere. I will look it up someday.... It has to do with the direction and energy of the subject, Hansen,nd not for most peopl shots I have found. Also the background is best a dark brown not black I have also found (funny huh) in such off center shots...That is why I guess photo editors used to look at contact sheets or slides on a light table, and why we have diversity of opinion and generational preference. aloha nui,gs P.S. Her brown hair is definitely better defined and more lush with lower photo illumination in my '

umble opinion...
