thadley 15 Posted May 7, 2009 You lined this one up perfectly - great light also. Perfect symmetry. Then I said to myself if we only had one human figure somewhere and that is when I discovered that element to the extreme right of the image. Well done and Congrats. Link to comment

wieslawmamon 0 Posted July 25, 2009 very good idea, I think it is a well thought out work, I like the pov which gives the image a 3D effect and the symmetry of the composition with beautiful geometric shapes and forms. The numerous repeated elements give a nice rhythm to the whole. Interesting photo not because of the subject matter itself but thanks to your creative approach to it. Best regards -wm Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 28, 2009 many thanks to all for their gracious comments on this mis-named photograph... it is not the Ranion Ki Haveli (Queen's Palace) as i had captioned it earlier... it was built as an official guest house for royal guests of the Jaipur Maharajas towards the end of the 19th century. Now it is a museum, mainly textiles. On view are fine muslins, Benares silks, hand-printed cottons and embroiderd coats. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 28, 2009 In other words Palace of Welcome. Part of the City Palace complex. Built at the end of the 19th century as a royal guest house for personal guests of the Maharajas. It is a fine example of Hindu architecture with Mughal influence. Its marble jalis (screens) and balconies are particularly worthy of note. Now it is a museum, mainly textiles. Link to comment

dara 0 Posted August 1, 2009 Hi Rajat, first of all thanks for your informative explanation about this building. Very interesting and nice shot. Very nice use of oblique lighting on the building to bring out the dimensions and shapes of this structure, and as others have mentioned the excellent point of view you have chosen. Creative work and beautiful building. Regards Link to comment
