bellissima questa, la luce che introduce ad un atmosfera che non mi sorprenderebbe fosse quella del posto dei teschi. welcome back, rait

Grazie Andrea, la foto è piccola qui su PN in realtà ai piedi della croce e ai lati ci sono tutti teschi che non si vedono bene a questa risoluzione. Il Cimitero delle Fontanelle è un posto magico con un'atmosfera molto serena, contrariamente a quanto si può pensare e quando era aperto al pubblico le persone ci andavno regolarmente a pregare e talvolta "adottavano" un teschio, ne avevano cura, lo spolveravano e gli chiedevano le cosiddette "grazie".

Rita, this is an interesting...if not spooky series of images. I think this is my favorite for many reasons. I like the compositional elements first..the pitched ceiling and the bare window really focus me on the cross in the center of the room. Also the ray of sunlight shining on the skulls is very symbolic and powerful...very nicely captured.

 

By the way, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my image of the Aghan School Children...I always appreciate your words of wisdom. I posted another picture from my Afghan series that I would appreciate your opinion on if you get a chance. Thanks. Jeff.
